What Does a Reliable Sump System Consist Of

Besides the pump itself, there are many other parts that comprise a good, reliable sump pump system.

• Two pumps
  Your primary pump can fail for many reasons, including clogging, excessive amounts of water on rare occasions, mechanical failure, etc., a second pump can save a basement from getting wet.
• A Battery Backup Pump
  What if the power goes out? You need to plan on the power going out one day – which usually happens in a big storm with rain, the pump coming unplugged, the circuit breaker tripping, or the primary pump failing (although a secondary pump protects against this occurrence).
• A Sturdy Sump Pump Basin
